I turned around and found this wonderful scene on a recent date night with a couple 6-year-old girls I love. My wife and I were adamant early on: no play guns in our house! But soon sticks were weaponized, quickly turned into a instruments of mass slaughter. I realize now (with a whopping 10-years of parenting wisdom) that all we can do is try to keep our kids safe, fed and loved. Expecting to control much else is futile.
