How Art stays busy

A few weeks ago I duct taped some toys to our old coffee table and it has been a major hot spot for Art ever since. He also has a few pushing toys for the day when he finally decides to walk, but for now he has found some rather creative ways of using them.




Art has some mad skills nowadays. He is now officially smarter than my dog-in-law Poncho. He can follow commands, he understands cause and effect, he can retrieve things, can point at our cat Carma on command and can even mutilate her name in a slightly recognizable way ("Ladla!"), he can put lids on things, he can feed himself, he can split peas with his finger and squish them out of their skins - there are a lot of things that Art can do that are as smart or smarter than Poncho. But Poncho is still one of the smartest dogs I know. Poncho can turn his dog-bed over, and it's pretty graceful when he does it, too.
