Today Ben, Art, my aunt Deb and I met at 8:15am to go before Judge John Q. McShane and have my name changed. The judge asked me a slew of official questions, asked Deb and Ben if they heard the answers and believe they are true, and then he granted my name change from Jessica Austen Parker to Jessica Parker Garvin (I'm a jpg!). Then, I'm not kidding, he raised his arms and said "Shazam!" and asked to see the baby. Cool!

Shazam!

Wow.. that's funny! Well, maybe he's a big fan of Shazam? Or maybe he was indicating how magical the moment was? Crazy.. I remember watching and liking that show, but I can't remember anything about it except that he drove a car with a lightning bolt on the side.

poof! that is a funny story! you know, i actally have monogrammed towels. they were a wedding gift from someone we don't know very well so they didn't know that i wasn't changing my name. they are really nice towels so i use them anyway. hee hee.
